Villa Air Bali Spa Review

Tranquil Relaxation at Spa Air - Villa Air Bali

When we arrived in Bali, both my fiance and I have been thoroughly exhausted from working so hard. We both were in desperate needs for relaxing times and of course Spa treatments.

We decided to have our Spa treatments at Spa Air in the morning and as scheduled, one of the spa therapists came to pick us up. We were then ushered into the waiting area of Spa Air where we were greeted by another friendly staff of Villa Air Bali. They served us welcome drinks while we filled out the short inquiry form to pick what kind of treatments we would like to have. The form although short but very detailed. It even asked how you would prefer the strokes, light, medium or hard. I, of course, opted for the hard ones since my aches are quite bad. My fiancé chose the medium one.

Not only we got to customize the Spa experience, we were also offered with different types of massage oils. Each has their own benefits and they smell so lovely. As an indecisive Pisces, this part is difficult for me hah! I ended up choosing the ylang-ylang and lavender oil.

Once we were done, our therapist took us to one of the private Spa rooms. The room or should I say the villa is spacious and very private. Two massage tables await us, a huge tub, a huge shower, two separate smaller showers. The atmosphere and ambiance welcome us in the most romantic and luxurious feelings. You can feel the sense of relaxation from the moment you step into the beautiful room.

After we changed into our yukatas (Japanese robe), we were seated separately nearby the massage tables. The treatment we had was the Balinese Touch. The 60 minutes massage is done by combining acupressure and long, soft strokes. We started with our feet being washed, scrubbed and massage with a blend of warm water infused with tropical flowers and they smell amazing!

Foot Scrub before Balinese Massage

The Balinese massage is a full-body treatment from your foot to the scalp. This technique includes gentle and relaxing strokes as well as vigorous pressure-point stimulations. The therapist starts to treat the legs, then firmly frictions the back and arms and, finally, slowly massages the scalp. Therapists use a combination of gentle stretches, skin rolling, kneading and stroking, and pressure-point stimulation, to stimulate the flow of blood, lymph, and energy.

I must have been totally exhausted that I started to doze off during the massage treatment and embarrassingly snored myself awake! Insert face palm emoticon here! I apologized profusely to my therapist who was so sweet and kind. She told me that’s fine and I should just relax and if I want to fall asleep I could. I did this like twice – clearly, someone was tired – or the lavender oil really works on me.

When we were done, we were again ushered into the waiting room area where warm teas were served. My favorite part was learning how all their spa products are made within their property. They are not store bought or mass produced. The ingredients used are all natural and you could even purchase some of them from the Spa.

Villa Air Spa Products

I am in love with their products! They have a wide range of products available too from body oil, body scrubs down to refreshing room sprays.

Thank you Spa Air!

Happily Rejuvenated after our spa treatment

Overall, we both agreed that this was the best Spa experience we ever had. When you are done with your Spa treatments you could choose to relax around the Spa by the main pool, maybe sit by the gazebo and just soak up the beauty surrounding you or head back to your villa for a blissful nap.

Sejak nikah, yg namanya spa, refleksi dll, udh ga pernah aku lakuin :D. Padahal dulu ama suami pas msh pacar, sering banget. Sekarang, lgs ngerasa sayang tiap kali mau spa treatment. Pasti ujung2nya, “gimana kalo panggil si mbok aja Mom” . Wkwkwkwkw…
