Finding My Calm

Somewhere between ending two friendships that were once important to me, juggling work, my mother’s health scares, a sudden death of a co-worker, motherhood things…I am exhausted.

The first thing that slide?

Of course this blog and my blogosphere interactions.

I barely even tweet anymore.

The only updates from my end are the Instagram pictures.

There’s only so much I could squeeze in a day. Really. Even my working out regime is now suffering.

You need a break, M…” said the soft voice that calms my soul.

Yes I need a break.

I wish I could…

Everything has its wonders

Instead I fight back tears every time I do my yoga class because that’s my only break. My only ‘getaway’ to a quiet place inside me while I’m lying in a hammock, to sense every breathe, gently inhaling then exhaling…letting my trail of thoughts just flows its own course.

Flow like a river…

Letting all that weighing my mind just flow out of my soul…

I am not a mom trying to do her best to raise a son mostly alone…

I am not a daughter trying to care for her sick mother…

I am not an employee receiving demands and orders…

I am just me…

A soul growing, a soul learning.

For those short precious moments, I am just me. Nothing else and it’s completely OK to be ‘just me’.

Everything will be alright…

No, everything will turn out amazing! You just wait and see.

A smile widen from inside my heart, rising to my face.

How do you find your calm within the daily stress in life?

Maureen, I am so glad that you have your happy face. I enjoy seeing you on IG and find that a wonderfully supportive community. Take your time. Do what you can. Life passes us by when we are caught up in the here and now and what we “have” to do. Life embraces us when we let go and just be.

My blog falls to the way-side if LIFE happens. And that’s okay. Keep doing what makes you happy! If it helps you regain your balance and sanity. You have to take care of YOU before you can take care of others.

It’s okay if the blog is let go for awhile. It happens with most bloggers. Life gets busy, life gets in the way and you can only do so much in a day. It’s okay.

Yes, everything will be all right…

I had to face many stresses in the past few months. I thought I was strong enough for it all, but after ignoring the “signals” for too long, I became sick.

Now that I feel good again (it was just a scare), I know better than to treat myself like superwoman. We all need breaks!

Oh, and I hear you when you talk about tears at yoga.

    Take care!
