What is Bio-Oil: It is a specialist skin care oil which contains the ingredients of PurCellin Oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, natural plant oils: lavender, calendula, rosemary oil and chamomile. This rare blend of essential, natural plant oils and vitamins has been clinically proven to combat signs of aging, reduce stretch marks and scars. Not only that, they also hydrate and balance the skin. They are also hypo-allergic so it is ideal for those with sensitive skin.

How to Use Bio-Oil:

For stretch marks: You can apply Bio-Oil to help to prevent stretch marks or improve the appearance of existing stretch marks. Using your fingertips, massage Bio-Oil into the skin twice a day. If you are pregnant, Bio-Oil is best used starting from your second trimester. A clinical study in 2010 has shown 100% of subjects reported improvement in 8 weeks and 90% of subjects said Bio-Oil reduce pigmentation.

For scars: Bio-Oil can help reduce the appearance of old scars and new. Gently massage the oil into the scars twice a day.

I am using Bio-Oil for some scars on my feet – I am one of those people who are prone to have keloid after even a mosquito bite! Although it will take sometimes to see actual real results, I like the fact that the Bio-Oil is not sticky and absorb rather quickly on the skin. It says on their product guidelines that it will take approximately 3 months to see real results and results are varied depending on the scar type and the person.

Also, I found Bio-Oil to be a very effective hydrating agent for my dry toes. It really softens my dry toes and absorb on the cuticles rapidly.

I used Bio oil to help with a scar that I had since childhood. It took a while but with daily application it is barely visible anymore.
